This trip was my second outing with the Van Os photo group and second with lead photographer, Jeff Vanuga. Little did I know then that years later I would be on two other adventures with this gifted photographer: Iceland and Page Arizona. I’ve made it a custom when planning a photo trip, to arrive 2-3 days before meeting up with the group, to get a feel for the area. The trip started off arriving in Jackson Hole, Wy late at night. Upon awakening and to driving Teton NP, my first glimpse of the Tetons was breathtaking. Pulled the car over, got out and just stood there trying to take in the grandeur before me. Flat western plains bounded by 12,000-foot peaks. While each these National Parks are amazing and unique in their own way, my introduction to the Tetons had made a lasting impression, and a return trip five years later.
